I GET TEASED QUITE A BIT...

about my lime green obsession.

But let me ask you, how can anyone look at this...

and NOT AT LEAST crack a small smile?

Lime green is just a happy color. Plain and simple.

So I won't quit you lime green. I won't change to pink. Or to some hideous orange shade.

All LIME all the time!

I now return you to your multi-color world!

GIGGLES, SNICKERS...

and guffaws all around.

Seriously. We're absolutely rolling around on the floor, here at Casa de Keuter.

All because of a SNAKE UTERUS.

A who? A what? And why is that so funny? Well, it's funny for a couple of reasons...

#1 - snakes lay eggs - therefore, no uteruses (or is it uteri?)
and
#2 - snake uterus is one entry on a list of anagrams, that we made at Wordsmith.

Who knew anagrams could be so hilarious! We've been giggling all morning long.

So while my name, rearranged, spells out SNAKE UTERUS - and we think it's pretty funny - yours might be even funnier!

I TAKE BACK EVERY SNARKY COMMENT I EVER SAID...

about my husband's computer stuff.

You know. The stuff he always has to have because it's the NEWEST and the COOLEST and the most TALKED ABOUT. I take it all back.

Because right this very second - I am cruising west, on Interstate 40 - about 100 miles outside of Flagstaff, AZ.

Yep - this very second. Hooked up to the almighty internet via this cool little satellite card. Which means he has been able to check his email on this trip. Connect to his company's home page. Even check on a few Mapquest directions while we were in Albuquerque. All from the car.

And I can blog. While he's driving - doing 81mph. The kids are watching RV, he's listening to his iPod and I'm blogging.

This is what family vacations have become in 2007.

We used to play "I'm going on a picnic..." We used to sing "John Jacob Jingle-heimer-schmidt" We used to make our own versions of alphabet B-I-N-G-O. And we passed the days away just fine.

But now it takes three iPods, three cell phones, four sets of earphones, two computers, one BlackBerry and this handy-dandy little satellite card. And we could drive all day.

Oh wait. We have been driving all day. For the last two days. But we'll be home tonight!

Oh joy!

My dogs. My bed. My tomato plants. My keg-o-rator. My recliner. And my office!

Can't wait! Oh sure we'll have lots of work to do tonight and tomorrow. Unpacking has never been one of my favorite tasks. But I leave next Thursday, so there is a sense of urgency this time.

Home sweet home - Arizona!

From Exit 269 - Jackrabbit Road - somewhere east of Flagstaff.
